Connecticut AIA (American
Institute of Architects) Design/Build Award
In 2000, CASLE's design/build project
the Customer and Technology Center for Trumpf Inc. in
Farmington, Connecticut was cited for an award by AIA
Connecticut as one of its "Projects of the Year".
CASLE's architect, Andy Smith, spearheaded the unique
building's design working with Frank Barkow of Barkow
Leibinger in Berlin, Germany. The 35,000 sf building
has also been featured in an article in Progressive
Architecture as well as other German publications. Other

Also in 2000, CASLE received
designation for "Quality of Design Work" by
its Pre-Engineered building supply company, Steelox.
Cited in the award for quality were buildings designed
and built by CASLE for Walker Crane & Rigging and
Advanced Reprographics. The award is given annually
by Steelox for meritorious projects by members of their
distribution team.
