The CASLE
Corporation was founded
in 1981 by Ronald Leathers (a Civil Engineer with 41 years
construction experience) and David Sessions (an attorney
with 24 years of development and real estate experience)
with a single strategy - to bring professionalism to the
delivery of construction services. Since 1981
CASLE has developed a
team with diverse professional backgrounds (design, construction,
development and finance) who can make construction and
real estate development projects happen.
CASLE has
constructed buildings containing over 4 million square
feet with a value in excess of $350 million. Prior to
1990, the main focus of our work had been in industrial,
office and commercial buildings. We have also done a significant
amount of work in the institutional, medical and public
arenas. Our clients have included numerous Fortune 500's
(i.e. NCR, Otis Elevator, Asea Brown Boveri), major area
health care providers (Hartford Hospital, Saint Francis
Hospital, Bristol Hospital, New Britain General Hospital,
Industrial Health Care) as well as small local businesses,
towns, institutions and medical practices.

Over the past 15 years, CASLE
has also constructed and retained a number of properties
for its own development portfolio. The properties represent
a full spectrum of office, research & development,
industrial and medical offices. In addition, we have developed
parcels of land into vibrant business parks. Consequently
we are experienced in securing the complex set of regulatory
approvals that now affect Connecticut real estate projects.
Throughout our history, the principals of CASLE
have committed themselves to developing a company with
a strong financial base. We have annual sales of $25-30M
(value of Contracts managed) and a bonding capacity of
$30-35M. In these times of economic uncertainty, this
conservative philosophy has allowed the company to remain
a significant force in construction in Connecticut.

In terms of professional
development, CASLE's
emphasis has been upon bringing qualified personnel
to each project. All our project managers are civil
and/or mechanical engineers and we retain an architect
and draftsmen on staff to provide quality control functions
while the project is under construction. An attorney
with financial background rounds out the management
team to improve the procurement and reporting functions.
CASLE
works hard in the initial stages of each relationship
to understand the requirements of the Owner and to tailor
its relationship to those needs. We provide construction
services by many techniques - design/build, construction
management, cost-plus-a-fixed-fee and lump sum/bid.
Whatever the delivery system, we can provide leadership
and the professional team that turns the Owner's dreams
into reality.
